A series of awareness sessions were organised in collaboration with AidLebanon in an effort to combat period poverty in Lebanon. Topics relating to the menstrual cycle were addressed, education about the the proper use and benefits of menstrual cups was provided, cultural myths were addressed. The stigma was broken through open discussions, questions and answers. Over 200 beneficiaries received their own menstrual cup along with a comprehensive booklet to take home.
This initiative was made possible thanks to amazing support of Lebanese expats, the incredible efforts of the NGO AidLebanon, and the invaluable contributions of the Juniper community and medical student Dana Inaty.
